Cancer Support
The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service Centre (MCISC) service for parents diagnosed with advanced cancer have collated a group of resources to help parents talk with their children about their diagnosis.
Starting the discussion with children may be too difficult for some parents and this can be when health professionals can help support parents to find the best approach and help the parent practice and think about questions that may be asked so they have some degree of preparedness.
These resources created by MCISC will provide information and support in talking with children for anyone affected by cancer, preparing children for loss.
